In describing an event facility, the term “oasis” gets thrown around pretty loosely, but Rancho de Las Palmas, with its hundreds of palm trees, lush foliage and spring-fed lagoon, comes as close as we've ever seen to fitting the literal definition.

Located in Moorpark just two miles from the 23 Freeway, Rancho de Las Palmas is becoming as famous for its sunset weddings as it is for its natural beauty. Imagine saying "I do" against the backdrop of lush foliage, hundreds of palm trees, and a lagoon. If you're looking for a romantic wedding in a tropical paradise, look no further than

Couples often get married in front of the double-tier waterfall or on the short flight of brick stairs leading to the deck. The stairs have an overhead arch and side railings in robin's egg-blue wrought iron, perfect for decorating with flowers. Your family and friends sit on the adjacent lawn to witness your exchange of vows. From here, it's only a few steps to the Pavilion where guests enter through lovely leaded-glass French doors.

The focal point of Rancho de Las Palmas is the huge lagoon with its three sparkling fountains and miniature tropical island. A bridge leads from the shore to the magical island where you’ll find a gazebo shaded by lush fan palms. The gazebo is a great place for pictures and to sip mai-tai with friends and enjoy the view. Weeping willows and stalwart palm trees make a jungle on the shore and spacious serpentine deck borders the lagoon, making it perfect for entertaining. A nighttime wedding or party is especially romantic and glamorous here since virtually every structure is strung with white twinkle lights.

One of the greatest pleasures of being at Rancho de Las Palmas is taking a stroll around the grounds. As you do, notice the unique architectural details. On the deck, wood railings change to wrought iron and pathways that start out brick turn to cobblestone, then to concrete poured in imaginative designs. Classical fountains rub shoulders with abstract stone structures made of river rock and brick, some decorated with leaping dolphins.

FEES & DEPOSITS
For weddings, a $3,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. Wedding packages start at $56.75/person and include use of the property, a buffet or sit-down dinner, unlimited social bar and champagne toast, chairs, tables and tableware. Tax and a 17% service charge are additional.
